In a bold move hailed last night by maternity rights activists as extraordinary, Missy Ward, renowned workaholic, declared that she will take an unprecedented one-week leave when she gives birth to her second child, due to arrive by C-section on May 3rd.
This announcement squashes the unconfirmed reports that co-workers discovered Ms. Ward attempting to secure a private jet to get her to San Francisco for Ad:Tech, as no scheduled airline carrier would allow her to fly due to the proximity of her due date.
Further intelligence confirmed that she had no plans to give birth at the CPAEmpire booth as an extreme method to increase their booth traffic.
The panel is taking place Wednesday, April 26 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and the topic is How to Grow a Profitable Affiliate Channel: Recruit the Best Partners for Your Business.
The extended weather forecast for that day in San Francisco is sunny with a high of 57 °F. There is a 0% chance for precipitation.
During the panel, we'll be chatting about leading edge and traditional strategies for affiliate recruitment, including blogging; face-to-face meetings; RSS; phone techniques; podcasting; snail mail; generating buzz; landing pages; press releases; e-mail; recruitment advertising; conferences; and parties and events.
Anyhow, the big question is what to wear? I'm trying to decide what to pack among four different options:
- dark blue suit with a shirt and tie
- colored Polo shirt with khaki pants
- white Polo shirt with Affiliate Summit logo and khaki pants
- black geek t-shirt and khaki pants
