1. Download the App. Seriously. Do it NOW. 

Every person who will attend Affiliate Summit is listed in the app. Some choose to complete their profiles, others don’t. That in itself is a guide about who is open to meetings.

• Identify who you want to meet with, either the individual or the company. TIP: Unless you are a super affiliate or huge company, consider a meeting with someone at the manager or account executive level, as the top staff will probably already have meetings scheduled with other C-level attendees.
• Extend a connection request, including a brief hint of why you want to meet with them. If it’s someone new you are reaching out to, help them understand why they should spend an appointment period on you.
• Schedule a meeting. You will be offered the days and times they are available; select a spot that works for both of you. They will have 3 days to accept or the system will automatically cancel it and the time will be free on your schedule again.

2. Make Your Profile POP 

With over 80% of attendees pre-booking meetings through the app, standing out is crucial. When introducing yourself, craft a message that sets you apart. Be creative or mention that you’ll be wearing a noticeable outfit. The goal is to make a memorable first impression.  
Remember: personality = profitability. 

3. Pick Up Your Badge As Early As Possible 

Though there’s rarely a line to do so, it’s one thing to check off the to-do list, and wearing it around the hotel may spark conversations with other attendees in a more casual atmosphere than the show floor.

4. Carry The Essentials

Your two days will be PACKED with networking at Affiliate Summit East, so make sure to pack the following:

• Portable charger
• Pack of mints
• Water bottle (there will be water stations everywhere!)
• Plenty of business cards

5. Sneakers Over Style. Always.

4,500+ attendees. Multi-floor madness. If your shoes aren’t built for marathons, you’re gonna feel it. Bonus points for a smartwatch to flex your step count.

6. Prepare An Elevator Speech

Plan and practice a 15-20 second introduction including the most important thing about your company and what type of partner you are looking for.
