I have no clue what I am doing, but I’m up for the challenge. I just went and picked up a SportsBand and sensor. We’ll see if I can get it to work!

All you need to do is set up that Sportsband and start moving.

In addition to the neat social aspects like this challenge, I really like that Nike+ enables me to keep track of all of my runs, goals, etc.

I’m in my third week of training for the half anyway, so this is good timing. No making fun of how slow I am! I’m back to working on distance again. Today is a Zumba day, so I’ll have to calibrate and give it a shot first thing tomorrow. I think I have everything done now except the calibration.

What happens when you do walk/runs? For a lot of my training, I do 3 min walk/7 minute run combos.

  6. Shawn Collins Says:

You can pause it if you break for walking, have to stop at a traffic light, tie your shoe, etc.

Does anyone know if you need Nike+ shoes in order to use the sensor? The sensor is suppose to go under your foot….that could hurt if you don’t have them…

I hope it can just go in my sock or something…

I already spent $30 for the senor/ nano receiver = thats 30 miles I could have just donated! :)

Don’t want to buy new shoes too…..

    Let me know challengers!

  8. Melissa Salas Says:

Thanks to Missy, I just learned you can use a ziplock baggy, fold it up and stick it in the tongue of your shoe instead of buying new Nike+ ones….. yay!

  9. Scott Jangro Says:

Keep it running through the walks. As long as you’re moving, that counts too!

  10. Shawn Collins Says:

Do you keep it going if you’re stuck from traffic or something, though?

  11. Scott Jangro Says:

Traffic? You’ve clearly never been to my neighborhood. :)

But yeah, when I need to stop for a horse crossing or my shoe needs to be tied, I’ll pause it.

  12. Shawn Collins Says:

    ;)

My outside route has several crossings at busy intersections.
